Together to fight the COVID-19 pandemic

Overview

In the context of combating the novel COVID-19 pandemic, Haykel Hospital reaffirms its full commitment to the core of its mission: protecting its community, its patients as well as all its medical staff

Consequently, on March 18, 2020, Haykel Hospital built a special corona emergency unit outside the hospital, equipped with negative pressure and HEPA filter according to internationally approved medical recommendations. This unit includes three separate rooms where screening and examination of suspected patients (children and adults) is performed and a special PCR test for COVID-19, licensed by the Ministry of Public Health, is conducted in one of the rooms; if necessary, hospitalization and resuscitation of two patients ensues in the other two rooms.

Patients are triaged and treated according to their need for hospitalization following special medical protocols.

In addition to the above, a distinct floor with its own pathway, completely isolated from the rest of the departments and consisting of 7 negative pressure rooms, was prepared for the treatment and hospitalization of 10-11 confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients.

Moreover, an additional 6 intensive care rooms are currently being prepared.

Our message is sacred, we will not give it up despite all human and material difficulties. We, as medical professionals, have done our duty ... And you, are you ready to take the risk and disregard your human duty??

Haykel Hospital's management and staff supports the "stay at home" and reduce risk of exposure and transmission of COVID-19. Should you need medical support, we are committed to service and excellence in care.

We stay at work for you!! Stay at home and be safe.
